Founded in 2020, Soileau Partners Psychotherapy weaves 3 commitments into every session: psychoanalytic depth, the gracious bedside manner of a trusted family doctor, and an atmosphere that invites unhurried conversation. Our therapists draw on psychodynamic and relational analysis, yet never reduce you to a diagnostic line.

Our practice is discreetly located in the historic Stilwell Building in Kansas City’s Library District, selected not just for its beauty and history, but for the sense of calm and privacy it offers. You’ll step into a setting that feels like an infusion of spa, boutique hotel, and home. Our warm amber lighting, thoughtfully selected furnishings, and curated assortment of refreshments all reflect a simple philosophy: when your body feels safe, the mind can wander toward the insights that change everything.

Our discreet psychotherapy practice attracts executives, lawyers, athletes, families, couples, high-profile individuals, and downtown residents who prefer root-cause insight to symptom-focused manuals. Each unique history sets the agenda; our job is to protect privacy, honor individuality, and focus on the importance of genuine presence. We can meet in person at our Kansas City practice or online across Missouri, Kansas, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, and South Carolina.

Healing happens in relationship, so we put the therapeutic bond at the center of each session. We trace emotions back to the earliest experiences, watch how those themes surface between us in real time, and pair clear guidance with open exploration. We stay neutral, resist labels that box you in, and use evidence-based psychodynamic and psychoanalytic tools to address challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, borderline traits, and life transitions – always through the lens of compassionate curiosity.

Soileau Partners Psychotherapy has and continues to develop working relationships with several university counseling programs, inviting talented graduate-level students for practicum and internship opportunities. This allows us to work closely with our students, offer their counseling services at a reduced rate, and determine whether our practice is a good post-graduation fit for them.
Both Jon and Danielle were invited to participate in a fellowship in Psychoanalytic Thought through The Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute, and are both NBCC board-certified. Jon completed his advanced training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at The William Alanson White Institute and is currently working on his Doctorate in Clinical Counseling.
