Knowing we can be loved exactly as we are gives us the best opportunity to grow into the healthiest people. Relational psychotherapy helps to restore hope and connection, even during seasons of immense pain and suffering.
Having a place where you can be heard and feel known is essential while working through heavy feelings, emotions, and thoughts and processing difficult experiences. As therapy deepens, individuals I work with gain insight into presenting symptoms and patterns of behavior that initially brought them to see me.
My approach to counseling, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis is trauma-focused and rooted in relational psychoanalytic and attachment-based work, which provides a deeper understanding of how past experiences and the therapeutic interactions within the therapy room influence one's present life and relationships.
I specialize in working with highly sensitive individuals, individuals struggling with traits of personality disorders (borderline, histrionic, narcissistic, dependent, paranoid, OCD, Schizoid, Schizotypal), dissociative disorders, trauma (early childhood, complex, sexual, secondary), self-esteem/insecurity struggles, anxiety, shame, attachment issues, depression, and relationship struggles (dysfunction, trust, intimacy, communication, and unhealthy patterns of behavior).
My patients consist of individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds to the average individual struggling to determine their own identity. I am grateful for the privilege to walk beside you during your journey to restoring hope and connection.
I offer in-person and telehealth appointments. I am clinically licensed to practice in Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Colorado, and I have telehealth privileges in Florida. I am a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association.
Appointments are available in person, online (video telehealth), and over the phone (telehealth).
New patients are welcome to reach out for additional information or to schedule an appointment.
Initial Phone Consultations are provided at no cost.
