Change and transition can be overwhelming and depleting, but they can also be catalysts for a better understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and our unique experiences. Understanding ourselves and developing acceptance can be powerful tools in managing life's obstacles and our experiences through struggle.
I desire to understand and collaborate with you to find your path to happiness, which I believe includes helping you define what happiness looks like for you and supporting your journey.
My approach to mental health counseling is an integrated and collaborative style that lends itself to many personalities and perspectives. My foundational work draws from attachment-based and humanistic philosophies of mental health infused with practical skills like mindfulness, somatic stress reduction, and other cognitive-behavioral tools. My fundamental belief about humans is that we are infinitely unique and deserve to be treated as such. This style allows me to tailor a treatment plan based on each client's unique goals and honors each client's authentic life experience.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish at Missouri Western State University. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adam's State University. I am under clinical supervision with Jon Soileau and located in Downtown Kansas City, just minutes from Parkville.
