As humans, I believe our past experiences have shaped who we have become, unconsciously informing the decisions we make along with the relationships we enter, and the way we feel and interact with the world around us. In some instances, this can cause individuals to become stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, experience low self-worth, and struggle to participate in a fulfilling life.
I believe counseling can help individuals work to gain awareness and identify feelings to eliminate and/or reducsymptomserity of symptoms being experienced. Additionally, therapeutic relationships can help to identify and change relationship patterns, with the overall goal of experiencing a satisfying and fulfilling life.
I work through a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy lens, with an emphasis on Attachment Counseling . However, I believe each individual who enters into counseling has walked a journey unique to them and deserves an integrated and individualized approach to counseling.
I work with individuals who have experienced trauma, have body image concerns, are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or low self-worth, and/or those who struggle with emotional regulation.
Additionally, I am passionate about working with those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and those who are part of the law enforcement community.
I am a graduate-level Intern, I am currently working towards a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University CACREP-accredited program. I am currently under the supervision of Jon Soileau at Soileau Partners Psychotherapy in Kansas City.
