Bobbi-Jean Barker

Life is littered with ups and downs, with some experiences impacting us more than others. 

I view therapy through a holistic lens, as all participants are unique in their biology, emotional makeup, and history. I believe therapy is meant to help empower clients to live full and functional lives.

I practice through a Psychoanalytic lens and emphasize the importance of the relationship between the client and therapist. Together, we will process your experiences to gain an understanding of current thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors, and examine how past experiences affect your current life. 

I am passionate about working with individuals who have endured trauma, experience anxiety, or those who simply want to make sense of who they are today in relation to their past. I truly believe emotional healing can be experienced in telling your story, and I would be honored to journey alongside you in this process. 

As a graduate-level Intern, I am currently working towards a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently under the supervision of Jon Soileau at Soileau Partners Psychotherapy in Kansas City, Missouri.
